About me

My name is Attila Baranyi. I am a manual therapist with a BSc in Osteopathic Sciences (University College of Osteopathy, London) and an MSc in Osteopathy Professional (Health Sciences University, London). I completed my clinical training at the Swiss International College of Osteopathy in Hertenstein and the Accademia Italiana di Medicina Osteopatica in Saronno. My professional background is rooted in medical massage with a specialization in the musculoskeletal system.

My approach is structural and evidence-based. I work with my hands, move tissue, and create change. I don't perform magic, I don't talk bullshit, and I refuse to prematurely dismiss patients with a "psychosomatic" diagnosis. Pain has reasons—often complex ones. My job is to find them precisely, understand their biomechanical connections, and resolve them sustainably.

Treatment with me is as individual as you are: it ranges from passive work on fascia, joints, and organs to active exercises and science-based lifestyle coaching. Holistic, grounded, effective.

In addition to manual therapy, I integrate the latest scientific findings into my consultations. I closely follow the work of experts such as Dr. Andrew Huberman (neurobiology) and Dr. Alok Kanojia (psychiatry) to support my patients comprehensively in areas like sleep optimization, stress management, and hormonal health.

Specialized Systems & Influences

Advanced Volumetric Approach / Functional Emergency Techniques (AVA/FET)

This highly effective osteopathic system forms the core of my manual practice. Originally developed by Robert Rousse, D.O., and further advanced by Joseph Gill-Lussier D.O. (Advanced Volumetric Approach), it represents maximum precision in treating acute and chronic structural complaints.

My confidence in this system is not merely practical: as part of my Master’s thesis (MSc) at Health Sciences University (London), I scientifically investigated and demonstrated the effectiveness of the AVA method for chronic neck pain through an experimental study.

Fascia Techniques (Serge Paoletti D.O.)

Having started my career as a massage therapist, working with fascia is particularly close to my heart. Serge Paoletti’s techniques allow me to release deep-seated tensions within the connective tissue and restore the body's structural integrity.

Endocranial Spasms (Philippe Druelle D.O.)

These techniques are based on a manual model for treating tissue tension within the cranial area. This approach focuses on addressing tensions within the internal structures of the skull. We work with the hypothesis that microscopic tissue tensions can be palpated and gently released. Although this concept is not (yet) scientifically proven in the classical sense, in practice, it serves as a valuable tool for addressing the effects of traumatic or emotional stress on the nervous system.

The McGill Method:
The Gold Standard for Back Pain

The McGill Method is a globally recognized, biomechanically-based approach to treating spinal disorders. Developed by Prof. Dr. Stuart McGill, this system is grounded in over 30 years of clinical research. Unlike conventional therapies, the focus here is not on short-term symptom relief, but on identifying and eliminating the actual cause of the pain.

The Three Pillars of the Method:

  • Precise Pain Analysis (Assessment) We don’t look for vague diagnoses; we look for your specific "pain trigger." Through a thorough examination, we identify which movements, loads, or postures trigger your pain—and which ones relieve it.

  • Adaptation of Movement Patterns Living pain-free starts with your daily routine. You will learn how to protect your spine during everyday activities and replace harmful movement patterns with efficient, pain-free alternatives.

  • Building Stability (The "Big 3") We utilize the scientifically proven "Big 3" exercises to build the necessary stiffness and stability in your spine. The goal is to create an "inner corset" that sustainably relieves pressure on your spinal discs and joints.

Transparency Regarding Treatment Duration
Quality takes time. A quick 20-minute check-up is often insufficient for chronic back conditions to find the true cause. During the first appointment, we will decide together whether a focused approach is enough or if a deep-dive McGill Analysis is necessary for a long-term solution. My goal is to make you an expert on your own back—based on facts, not guesswork.

To ensure optimal quality, the initial appointment in my booking system is set at 60 minutes. This serves as the foundation for any successful therapy. More extensive McGill Analyses for complex cases will be discussed and scheduled individually after our initial assessment.
